My 2nd Near Death Experience

I'm being dramatic with the title (even though is true) so that you can look this way...

I had one of those Hollywood movie near death experiences... think M. Night Shyamalan's Sign.

flash forward: Before I get ahead of myself the moral of this post is "one never knows which small event or seemingly negligible decision can be the difference between life and death."

return back: while grabbing my keys for my drive into work progressive's automated system called to remind me that my coverage was drawing to an end, so I promised myself that I'm not going to "procrastinate" and pay right away...the last thing I wanted was to have a need for coverage but not have it.

falling back into my usual routine of watching the garage door close before driving off, I remembered, "I need to renew my insurance early even though I still had two days", so I dialed progressive's automated pay system...I wanted to complete the call before I getting onto I-10, So i parked and completed the call and wrote down my confirmation number, I was proactive, Oprah would have been proud because I didn't text while driving.

The time spent renewing my insurance allowed 4 cars to go ahead of me, I could have been the 1st at the light but I wasn't, so I was thinking "i hope to make this light" because it just turned green and our lane had the turning arrow... thats when a suburban ran their red light and knocked the first car across the street....t-boning the 1st car on the driver side.

"everyone involved in the accident lived"

But, As I drove pass the accident in Hollywood slow mo, looking at people run around in Hollywood slow mo...I had to really thank God for putting into my head not to procrastinate "RIGHT NOW"
